About Me
Hi, I’m Shawn Gauthier. I’m a writer, creative director, dad, disc golfer, and currently Head of Copy at SmartMagic, where I lead voice and campaigns for Bosch and Thermador appliances.
Before this, I traveled the world writing headlines for Hilton—a dream job that took me to Egypt, Bali, Greece, Turkey, Hawaii, Paris, and Shanghai.
At The Wonderful Agency, I wrote for Wonderful Pistachios, POM, Halos, Teleflora, and created the company’s first-ever multi-brand commercial, which aired in Times Square on New Year’s Eve.
I’ve led creative teams and written for TV, print, social, and every touchpoint in between. My work has earned Cannes Lions, Effies, Andys, Addys, and a place on Adweek’s 50 Best Spots of the Year—twice. And the Today Show Halloween costume contest.

RUNNING BANANA
Featured in New York Magazine and on NPR. I went jogging dressed as a banana.
This was a form of performance art that forced me to brave the experience (and enjoy the thrill) of social embarrassment.
HALLOWEEN COSTUMES
Featured on the Today Show, I won Justin Bieber concert tickets for my "Man on the Subway" costume.
Halloween is my birthday. I sometimes go a little overboard.
